Week 5 Day 2 of the reading guide
N
ot only individual Christians, but also whole churches have spiritual styles. Of course, what we are referring to as “church style” is shaped by various factors (such as tradition, theology, and the styles of the church leaders). However, as we have previously seen, the nine styles are not equally distributed among the members of a given church. Sometimes one or two of the styles clearly prevail, which will have a strong influence on the church climate.
Do you know your church's predominant spiritual style? If not, who do you need to speak to in order to find out and help your church to discover it? How will you do that? (If you are keen to do this, share your thoughts and feelings with your small group leader to see if it is something you can work on together.)
