In order to develop a church profile, the computer compares the answers of your church members with the 168 million individual responses that have been calculated to date. The survey is complex from the programmer's point of view, but quite easy to understand from the user's perspective: 30 people fill in a questionnaire, the answers are inserted into a computer program, and the church receives a score for each of the eight quality characteristics that is displayed as a bar graph similar to the one on the right. The value 50 represents the average scores of all of the churches that have already done the NCD Survey in a given country. This means that every score above 50 is above average and every score below 50 is below average. Most importantly, the diagram reveals at a glance what the current minimum factor is.For more information about using the NCD Church Survey, see the NCD International web site.Back to the NCD Survey summary page
