Scripture-driven style

Memorise the key Scripture for each of the 9 spiritual styles and share them with a friend (you will undertake this exercise 4 times during the 28 days of scripture-driven discipline so don't worry if you are not able to memorise all of the texts on the first time through).

Sensory: The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. (Psalm 19:1)

Rational: By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundation, by understanding he set the heavens in place. (Proverbs 3:19)

Doctrinal: See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. (Col 2:8)

Scripture-driven: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom. (Colossians 3:16)

Sharing: We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Ascetic: I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. (1 Corinthians 9:27)

Enthusiastic: For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. (1 Corinthians 4:20)

Mystical: We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. (Romans 8:26)

Sacramental: The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. (John 1:14)
