Write a list of 6-12 words or short phrases that describe an ideal church in your view.
Now sort those terms into 3 groups so that similar or related items are together (you can have a different number of items in each group).
Then determine whether you think the 3 groups represent an even balance of essential aspects of church life. Regroup the items and add or remove items from the groups until you feel that you have a balanced picture.
Think of a name for each of your 3 groups that best describes the items within them.
Finally, present your catagories to a friend, explaining how you decided upon the items and groupings, and humbly ask them for feedback on what does or doesn't quite make sense to them. If their comments are helpful, make adjustments until you feel that your "church system" makes good sense.
