Start a Mutual Empowerment Process

A Mutual Empowerment Process is a great iron-on-iron and eye-to-eye way of meeting with a fellow leader to challenge each other to grow. It involves a pair of leaders each taking the Empowerment Test, then meeting over four sessions to unpack each other's results and hold each other accountable for taking some simple, practical steps for growth.

Even two leaders that may be at different 'levels' within an organization can meet up for such a process based on the truth that every leader has a greatest strength as well as an area that is not producing as much fruit as it could. Some leaders may even wish to try the process with an emerging leader as a way of modeling what it means to be an empowering leader committed to ongoing growth.

  1. Download and skim through the Mutual Empowerment Guide to familiarize yourself with the process. You may also like to send a copy to your prospective mutual empowerment partner.
  2. Each of you take the Empowerment Test. You can invite your mutual empowerment partner to take the test directly from this web site. To take the test and produce a Detailed Empowerment Profile (see step 3), you will need 2 tokens per person.
  3. Once you have calculated the results of your tests, produce a Detailed Empowerment Profile using the Advanced Profiles option.
  4. Share both your Empowerment Summary Profile and Empowerment Detailed Profile with each other.
  5. Start your Mutual Empowerment Process.
