Since The 3 Colors of Community is all about discovering and harnessing the powerful dynamics that make up life together, studying the book as a group is a significant experience.
The free downloadable Reading and Discussion Guides provide an easy to follow 3 week plan. Even if some of your group members are not keen readers, they can still participate if having only completed the Communal Test and gained an overview of the topic.
- Download the Reading Guide and Discussion Guide to familiarize yourself with the topics and outline.
- Obtain copies of The 3 Colors of Community for each of your group members (bulk discounts apply).
- Follow the steps contained in the Discussion Guide*.
- If possible, encourage your group members to complete their Communal Tests on the website (as opposed to on paper in their book), as this will enable you to produce a group profile for further discussion (see point 5). Their book includes a bookmark which allows them to redeem tokens for completing the test online. Familiarize yourself with that procedure so you can assist your group members if necessary.
- Once all of your group members have completed the Communal Test, ask those who have completed it online if they would be happy to share their Communal Summary Profile to your account on the website so that you can produce a Communal Group Profile. They can share their profile directly from the page on which they view it on the website. You will receive an email notification each time a member has shared their profile with you.
- When all of the individual profiles have been shared to your account (or all those you expect to receive), you can produce your group profile using the Advanced Profile option.
- Share the Communal Group Profile with your group in a separate meeting after the 3 weeks of the Reading/Discussion process. It contains a number of discussion questions and suggested exercises.
