Helping a whole congregation to discover and harness their collective God-given energy is a profoundly powerful experience. And with the help of the Communal Test, it is also a remarkably simple and inexpensive exercise.
You can empower your people to take the test as a standalone exercise. You could add to that a seminar or sermon series on the topic with all participants/listeners especially engaged having taken the test beforehand. Taking it even further, you could also make use of The 3 Colors of Community book, and the free Reading and Discussion Guides to walk your small groups through a 3 week study.
- Obtain sufficient eTest tokens for your congregation. You will need 1 token per person (significant volume discounts apply). For those unable to take the test online, obtain a copy of The 3 Colors of Community book for them so they can complete it in paper form (bulk discounts apply).
- Having collected a list of names and email addresses, invite them to take the Communal Test. The test itself can be completed in 15 minutes or less, however, allow a week or so for people to get around to doing it. Whenever someone completes their test, you will receive a notification and their result will automatically be shared back to your account since you are the sponsor of the exercise. The invitation email lets people know that this will happen.
- Once all of the online participants have completed their test (or as many as you expect will complete it), you can produce a group profile combining all the results with the help of the Advanced Profile option.
Suggested next steps
- If you'd like to present a seminar or a sermon series on the topic, make use of The 3 Colors of Community book, and the Reading Guide and Discussion Guide for ideas about content and sequence. Your group profile result can also help highlight certain content. If you would like to make use of visuals to enhance the series, look at the resources available on the Presentations & Artwork page.
