It is now almost a month since this site was created, and the same length of time since it was launched and announced at the NCD conference in Leicester, at which around 70 UK corps where present, all of whom have embarked upon the NCD process.
Some of the most interesting discussions at the conference, as is often the case, were those held during the meal breaks, and concerned each others progress, issues and general state of play with regards to the NCD process in the various Corps. In fact it was disappointing at times to have to leave those discussions and return to the next session of the conference.
Yet, as of this time, only one UK Corps has posted on this site...why? This site has been created for that exact purpose has it not? To enable Corps to share their NCD experiences, to support and learn from one another, and to have access to the latest information and tools, in order that we might be as effective as possible in promoting and developing NCD within our Corps.
We will all be having issues, problems and successes as we seek to move NCD along, and the chances are that other Corps will already have encountered and overcome these issues, in the same way that we may well have overcome issues that others might still be struggling with. This site is the ideal place to share those experiences and help each other. Plus it also gives us easy and ready access to the Army's NCD leaders in between conferences and training sessions.
Come on folks...this is a great resource that NCD and the Army have given us. Lets make maximum use of it. When the site was first announced I expected it to be jumping. Instead it's, well, tumbleweed in the main. Lets change that and really get the benefit that we deserve from the place.
