Many times, churches need a little help to get moving on some simple action plans for making progress on their NCD results. In many cases, there are also leaders who will learn more about their minimum factor by trying to do something to improve it rather than through continued discussion and analysis.
Cycle Starters are action suggestions intended to get a church moving forward on their results. They are by no means a complete set of possible action steps for improving the health of a church, but do provide many ideas for first steps. Sometimes these suggestions become the main action plans for a church. In other cases, they just provide starter ideas the church can build upon to come up with their own unique action steps.
Since Cycle Starters are ideas that almost anyone could act upon, and generally don't require a church vote or leadership level decision, they are also a great way to get many more people in a church to help out with improving the minimum factor. After a short introduction to the church results, Cycle Starters can be given to small groups and ministry teams to consider and take action on. While it is most important that the key influencers in a church are taking action on the NCD Survey results, it will always be even better if many others in the church are equipped to play their part in improving the health of their church.
