One of the challenges faced by pastors and leadership teams is that perceptions about what is most needed in church life can vary wildly from person to person. While the NCD Survey gathers together those diverse perceptions and produces a result that shows the middle ground of church life, many of those differing perceptions are still there when you begin trying to address your NCD results and develop action plans. This can make it very difficult to get everyone moving together in the same direction. NCD Perspectives is a free add-on to the online survey participant option that helps survey participants see their own perspective more clearly and also prepares them to support their leaders in the NCD process.
At the end of completing an NCD participant survey online, the person is given the option of creating their own free NCD Perspective profile (and is sent an email with instructions in case they would like to do so later). This numberless profile shows them the way they personally have scored the eight quality characteristics within their church. The profile then offers them suggestions of how they can both support their leaders within the process, and provides them with ideas about how they could begin transforming their little part of church life.
The results appear online for the participant with the option to download a printable version (see below).
When working with a church that had their survey participants complete their responses online, you may like to ask who happened to produce their own NCD Perspective profile and what their impressions they have when they compare it with the overall church result.
