Encourage the use of the 3 Color Tools

Recent NCD research has revealed that often, leadership teams begin working on their NCD Survey results from an organisational perspective. They tend to focus more on the corporate items within the survey results more than the personal ones. In the beginning of the process, this is not necessarily a problem. It is great that they are trying (and having success) in improving the environment for growth in their church. It should be celebrated.

But at a given point in time, it is necessary that their NCD process moves to a more personal level. After all, the church is people, and the health of the church is the health in the heads, hands and hearts of those people.

The Natural Character Development tools have been specifically designed to make progress in the quality characteristics at this personal discipleship level. Whether through the books or eTests, these tools are able to help a church get a lot more people involved in improving the health of the church, and to see that transformation move into the deepest level of their lives. There are step-by-step instructions on the Natural Character Development web site for inviting a whole group of people to take one of the eTests, with the results being automatically shared back to the facilitator.

Once a church has some momentum for the NCD process, it is a good idea to begin to introduce them to these tools and to help them understand how they will take the process to a deeper level within the lives of their people. Going a step further, you may decide to offer training events based around the various Natural Character Development Tools. There are a number of additional tools like downloadable presentations, artwork, reading and discussion guides available at the Natural Character Development web site to help you with this.
