Creativity: Your Thoughts

Put the pen's and pencil's down, it's time for a word puzzle!

I'm currently in the process of working on a new NCD project and I am interested to know what words or thoughts come to your mind when you think of the words: creative and creativity.

Is there a difference between Christians and the rest of the world?

I've been getting upset by a lot of Christians for a long time. Why? Because in my opinion there are to many people who call themselves Christians but you can hardly tell the difference between these Christians and Non-Christians. I think it's just natural that there are these many Non-Christians who call Christianity hypocritical or useless.

High Participation, High Anxiety

We have entered into the Color Your World Campaign. We have a varied and dedicated leadership task team (Pastor Team) and we're into Week One. Our participation level is high, which reflects our small size (about 45 active adults.) We're throwing a lot of new terms, jargon, language at our folks with this NCD stuff!

Parable as metaphor: Just like the wineskins, when there is no elasticity, we, as individuals, become hard and unusable… Rigidity, personally, or corporately, will stifle growth.

Today we will look at when Churches become hard and unusable…two classic examples most of us have seen have been the conservative/charismatic debate…”My way or the highway” mentality…

The Origins of Rigidity

Intro

It sometimes amazes me to what length people will go, to not feel pain. Often the 'solution' is also the problem, with the same old pattern repeating itself over and over. At the heart of this is rigid thinking, which in children creates safety and certainty. However in adults, it continues to our detriment.

Reflections

I can particularly relate to the David/Goliath analogy. Having been to a few art galleries and exhibitions in Australia and also being at uni with other art students , I have come to see what an impressive looking monster the secular art world is. There are so many opinions, theories and judgements on...well anything really, but namely, race, gender, politics, spirituality, sexuality and psychology.
