Keep in regular contact

One of the simplest and yet most effective ways of improving Progress and Consistency is keeping in regular contact with your customers.

Once the higher energy phase of completing the NCD Survey and unpacking the results has moved past, it is very easy for the long-term process of NCD to drift into the background and be overtaken with many other activities in church life. Many times, just an email or phone call is all that is needed to prompt a pastor that they need to keep on track with their NCD-based action plans. Sometimes, some more in depth discussion may be required, or you may have the opportunity to point them towards a helpful tool, article, or another NCD practitioner who would be good to network with.

It can be a good practice to set yourself reminders to make contact with your NCD coaches or churches every one, two or three months. Most people will greatly appreciate this pastoral-like connection and will feel less like they are in a "business" relationship with you, even when it comes time to purchase a new survey.

If you feel it would be too much of a workload to make those regular contacts, it may be a strong indicator that you need to multiply your ministry and empower some more NCD coaches within your network.
