Growth Forces

Growth Forces

Thoughts and Questions:

The broad acceptance of NCD's eight quality characteristics can be attributed, in part, to a misunderstanding. The eight nouns (leadership, ministry, spirituality, etc.) sound so generic that everyone can identify with them. What many people overlook, however, is the specific twist that the corresponding adjectives (empowering, gift-based, passionate, etc.) communicate.

The vocabularies of NCD

Question:

I'd always been told and have communicated to others that the Growth Forces (Biotic Principles) are such an important aspect of NCD. So why does the NCD Survey Workbook not mention them?

Answer:

The Growth Forces are still a central part of NCD and always will be. It might be comforting for those who love the Growth Forces to know that one of the authors of the NCD Survey Workbook is also a co-author of one of the most widely used Biotic Principle training presentations used in the NCD world (and personally also loves the Growth Forces). So why are they not mentioned in the NCD Survey Workbook.

Experiencing "all by itself” growth

In a few weeks time, I'm due to become an uncle for the 13th time. My future nephew has been enjoying a suspended state in amniotic fluid for almost 9 months.

My sister has been paranoid about growing her baby.
She has failed to realise that she actually does not make the baby grow, but God does in the all by itself design of human growth / cell reproduction.

Student Guides for teaching small groups NCD in a new church plant

I am looking for pre-developed study guides for teaching small groups the NCD process. Does any one have such material developed? I serve as the Pastor of a 3 year old church plant west of Columbus Ohio in the town of West Jefferson. Any assistance that can be shared would be of great benefit.

My First "Sermon"

My name is Justin, and I have been asked by Reverend Beverly to share with you today a personal journey to Christ, and through Christ, God. I say personal deliberately, for of course my journey and my conclusions because of this journey are my own. I would never expect these to be shared by all of you, nor would ask any of you who hear (read) them to walk the path I have walked to reach these conclusions.
