3 Color Cycle

The Importance of Inhaling and Exhaling

First you have to become aware if the things you do provide or cost energy. I think I became aware of it pretty fast (Sure I still have know it even better). But than I started to get difficulties with inhaling because I didn't have a big variety of an inhaling repertoire, so it felt like inhaling the same air over and over again till there is no oxyen left. Fortunately I did have a friend I could talk about it and she helped me with it. She made the source for my inhaling problems clear to me.

My 3 Colours of Love Cycling experience

I have been very active when it comes to my personal journey with The 3 Colours of Love. I was introduced to the book in about 2004 just prior to a church camp focussed on the topic. The picture of me back then is very different to my current picture and I hope to share this with you now.

2004
Highest fruit - Peace (125)
Lowest fruit - Self-control (82)
My circle was small and VERY blue.

Tammy's Significance

A little over a week ago my wife, Tammy, brought home a card from staff at a local child care centre.

Comments written on the card literally blew us both away.

Thoughts and Questions:

In a perfect world, loving and being loved should be as natural as breathing in and breathing out. Breathing is both an activity that our bodies do automatically—even while we are asleep—but at the same time can be deliberately stopped by us. Like love, it should happen all by itself, but our will has the capacity to upset its natural rhythm which can lead to breathing difficulties or even more dire consequences.

It is often said that "Growth takes time!” Of course this is true. But everything in this world takes time. However, taking time to grow does mean you must be prepared to take all the time available to you—past, present, and future.

The six stages of the Three-Color Love Cycle represent a continuous pathway to growth that encompasses all of the above. Being a cyclical process, you can start wherever you like. What's more, if growth in love ever drifts off your daily priority list, you can come back to the cycle at any time. This of course mirrors the way that Jesus keeps picking us up no matter what happens along life's journey.

The vocabularies of NCD

Question:

I'd always been told and have communicated to others that the Growth Forces (Biotic Principles) are such an important aspect of NCD. So why does the NCD Survey Workbook not mention them?

Answer:

The Growth Forces are still a central part of NCD and always will be. It might be comforting for those who love the Growth Forces to know that one of the authors of the NCD Survey Workbook is also a co-author of one of the most widely used Biotic Principle training presentations used in the NCD world (and personally also loves the Growth Forces). So why are they not mentioned in the NCD Survey Workbook.

The NCD Survey Cycle - an inherently interdependent process

Question:

It seems that the new NCD Survey Workbook assumes that churches will be using detailed analysis reports of their results. With the dangers of reductionism (churches focusing on perhaps a single question and not viewing the results interdependently) isn't this a risky or even irresponsible approach to broadly encourage?

Answer:

The 'danger' of reductionism is one of the most over-stated, longest-held myths associated with the NCD process. Unfortunately, the assumption that it is a genuine danger has kept many in the global NCD Community from experiencing the incredible benefits of detailed analysis, and the increased progress that can be achieved with the help of such tools (after all, we've already asked the people a lot of very good coaching questions through the survey, so why not look at what they said). In order to try and bust the myth once and for all (and liberate thousands of churches in the process), there are a number of organic realities that need to be understood.

Student Guides for teaching small groups NCD in a new church plant

I am looking for pre-developed study guides for teaching small groups the NCD process. Does any one have such material developed? I serve as the Pastor of a 3 year old church plant west of Columbus Ohio in the town of West Jefferson. Any assistance that can be shared would be of great benefit.

Universal Christian Responsibilities Start At Home, Then Beyond ...

It seems gone are the days when you discovered you had this particular gift and that was that. True we have all been given gifts that tie in with who we are and how God has made us, yet we have this other thing called responsibility.

As a Jonah its quite easy for me to say, "Well I don't have the gift of helps or service, so therefore I can stand back and let those who do have this gift do the dirty work." Yet this sort of attitude is not likely to go down well with people - particularly with the wife! As she is a raging Martha!

The 3 Color Spiral - NCD Survey Workbook

I'm pleased to invite you to download and begin exploring with your leadership team the '3 Color Spiral - NCD Survey Workbook'.

This workbook briefly presents the new 3 Color Spiral concept and takes you and your leadership team through an NCD Survey Cycle. Being a principle oriented workbook, it is only intended (and able) to get you started with the process, but throughout, there are links back to this web site where you can find additional ideas and information to take you further and deeper if necessary.
